Colorful Reading Log

With little ones, it is best to work on one behavior at a time. The reward charts below can be used as sticker charts or parent can draw a happy face when the child has been successful in exhibiting a positive behavior or not exhibiting a negative behavior.

You can choose a behavior that your child is struggling with such as:

  • Eating with mouth closed
  • Saying "Please." and "Thank you."
  • Brushing all of his teeth (use a timer)
  • Not whining, but using a happy voice to ask for something
  • Being gentle with siblings (not hitting or pushing).

Parents initial or stamp each week that child has filled in all 7 days. Always be positive and excited when your child gets a sticker, and downplay the days when he does not succeed. Include lots of hugs, smiles, and excitement from you.
