Getting Started on a New and Healthier Lifestyle

We are venturing out on a wonderful new journey, where the rewards at the end will be unbelievable. We will not only end up with new bodies for the Spirit of GOD to dwell in (not to mention a whole new wardrobe!!!), but a union with our Lord that will be ever growing and reaching heights that we could never before dreamed of. I am looking forward to this, and see this as a challenge to myself, to use my self-will in defeating my carnal desires and to see myself as a caterpillar, emerging from its chrysalis as a beautiful butterfly. I will have been reborn, renewed as a new creature created in the image of my GOD, to be truly Christ-like. I am so thrilled that you will be going on this journey with me.

The In His Image program is set up to be flexible so that we can all be a part, yet also have our own private records that we don't have to share. These written thoughts, insights, the seeing of ourselves in the true light, are seen only by us, and by GOD. You only share only what you want to share.

The first step is to read through Lesson 1: Self-discovery - Why are You Overweight? and Lesson 2: You Need a Plan. You will complete My Personal Plan Worksheet and set Quarterly Goals.

At the beginning of each week you will fill out a Weekly Goal Sheet, and then each day the daily journal. You may choose to take Sunday off.

It would be a good idea to keep all your papers in a three ring binder. You could decorate it with things that will encourage you. Put in extra blank paper to jot down what ever comes to mind. Remember, this is your private journal, so share with GOD what you are thinking.

It would be nice also, if you could find a partner -- someone who can keep you honest, someone to ask you if you cheated and had that second piece of cheesecake or the fudge on top of the ice cream. If you have a sister to share with, cry with, and laugh with, that would be great.
