Printing Instructions for Downloadable Free Charts and Logs

PRINTING INSTRUCTIONS: There are two ways you can print out resources for your own use:

  1. Download to your computer and print out using My Computer. The following directions are for Windows XP:
    1. Click on the resource link that you would like to print out (you can use Alt-Tab to move between windows). It will open up in its own window.
    2. Right click on resource and "Save Image As" to folder of your choice.
    3. Using My Computer [Start - My Computer] open folder containing resource you downloaded.
    4. Right click on resource and choose "Preview". This opens the Windows Picture and Fax Viewer.
    5. You can now print directly from the Windows Picture and Fax Viewer.
    6. Click on the little Printer icon on the bottom of the Windows Picture and Fax Viewer and follow directions for printing the resource.
    7. I recommend printing a draft of the resource to test it.

  2. Print from the browser window. For Internet Explorer:
    1. Click on resource link that you would like to print out (you can use Alt-Tab to move between windows). It will open up in its own window.
    2. Click on File - Page Setup
    3. Set margins to .33 to .50 and click "OK"
    4. Click on File - Print Preview to see if resource is not cut off and is shown in its entirety. This is what will print out on your paper.
    5. Click "Print" in the Preview window and choose your printer settings "Properties" and print out resource.
    6. I recommend printing a draft of the resource to test it.

  3. Print from the browser window. For Firefox:
    1. Click on resource link that you would like to print out (you can use Alt-Tab to move between windows). It will open up in its own tab or window.
    2. Click on File - Page Setup
    3. Check the box "Shrink to Fit Page Width"
    4. Click the "Margins & Header/Footer" tab and set to 0.5 and click "OK"
    5. Click on File - Print Preview to see if resource is not cut off and is shown in its entirety. This is what will print out on your paper.
    6. Click "Print" in the Preview window and choose your printer settings "Properties" and print out resource.
    7. I recommend printing a draft of the resource to test it.
