NOTE: This article is for informational purposes only. Please seek the advice of a healthcare professional before beginning any treatment for Candida Yeast. Herbal Treatments are natural drugs and should be used cautiously. If you, or your child, are on any medications, you MUST check with your dr. or pharmacist for possible interactions. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, do not start any treatment for yeast without checking with a healthcare professional first.
First place to begin is with the diet:
This is basically a high-protein low-carbohydrate diet. Lots of protein, veggies and legumes.
Secondly, use an herbal cleanse to deal with yeast and other yucky stuff in the digestive system. I use Tetra Cleanse, but there are many good products available. Ask your healthfood store which they would recommend for children.
Your physician can prescribe a pharmaceutical anti-fungal, but be sure to ask about a possible reaction to the dying yeast organisms called Herkscheimer's Reaction. Taking charcoal pills or capsules can help absorb some of the toxins released when the yeast begin to die.
Finally, it is reported that a person feels worst when being treated for yeast before he feels better. In other words, the dead yeast can make you feel pretty yucky until they are cleansed from the body.
Acidolpholus capsules can help keep yeast at bay when they seem to be overgrowing.
Vinegar is reported to be a great natural cleanser and makes the body uninhabitable for yeast.
