The Christian Bipolar Hope Email List's membership is by approval only to maintain the privacy of its members and create a safe environment for Christian bipolar adults and parents of bipolar children to discuss their experiences with bipolar disorder.

Description

The Christian Bipolar Hope Email List is for adults 21 and up diagnosed with bipolar disorder and parents of bipolar children and young adults through age 25. This list is a safe place to discuss the many facets of Bipolar Disorder from a Christian perspective.

Additionally, the list is a place to encourage one another as we face the many challenges of living with bipolar disorder, and raising bipolar children, providing emotional and spiritual support as brothers and sisters in Christ. We pray for one another as needs and challenges arise in our lives.

Membership Requirements/List Rules/Netiquette

You must be at least 21 years old to join this group.
Born Again Christian: If you are born again, you have decided to follow Jesus, and have accepted His free gift of salvation. You have asked God to forgive you for your sins. This list is for those of you who have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ; this is evidenced by a confession of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of your life and a walk that reflects this relationship. If you do not feel you can honestly declare this before God and the other list members, you might feel more comfortable with a different e-mail list. If you are not sure, please feel free to email us, and we will be glad to discuss salvation with you.. Bipolar Disorder, Cyclothmia, Mood Disorder: This list is for those who have bipolar disorder, spouses of bipolar adults, bipolar children, or believe their children may have bipolar disorder.
Introduction Required: You need to send in an introduction (see below). This will be posted to the List when your membership is approved.

Confidentiality: All messages that go through the list are confidential and not to be shared with another individual except a spouse. If you are using a work computer for list emails, delete all messages after reading. Consider all list messages copyrighted and the property of their authors. By joining this list, you agree to allow your messages to be stripped of identifiable information and archived for the public (all geographical and personal information is removed prior to publication).
Conflict Resolution: Conflict resolution takes place offlist. Contact the List Moderator or List Administrator if you have a conflict with another list member or a concern about another list member's posts to the list. Do not post any private messages you receive to the list.
No harsh posts or flaming: You must be mature enough to discuss all the aspects of Bipolar Disorder, life challenges, spiritual topics, and treatments without condemning others for their choices.
No Selling: You may not join this list to sell anything. As Christians, we are not to take advantage of others when they are vulnerable. NO SELLING or business messages of any kind!
Email Address: You must have your own e-mail address. You may not subscribe using a friend's, co-worker's, or business' (unless it is a dedicated e-mail address--yours alone) e-mail address. If you receive emails at work, delete them after reading and then delete from Trash in email software program.

How to Join

The Christian Bipolar Hope Email List is located on a free Christian listserver: Associate.com aka Freegroups.net. Your email address will remain private and will not be disclosed to any third parties. Only list moderators have access to the member list.

Before your membership can be approved, we need you to fill out the form below. After you fill out the form and click the Submit button, you may access the Associates.com website. If you want to read messages online only and do not want to receive messages via email, registration is required with Associate.com. You are not required to register with Associate.com if you want to receive individual messages or the digest compilation of messages every few days.

Please complete the form below and click on the "Submit" button to send your Introduction/Testimony to the List Moderator for approval. Your Introduction/Testimony will be forwarded to the list when you are subscribed so the other list members can meet you.
